Twitter over the last few years taken a tremendous leap to the fore front of social media. Many people use it as their primary outlet to express their opinion on the issues of the day. Issues that have a political position. Issues that are polarizing for sure.
Someone can make quick and fast comments on Twitter and have a tremendous reach. It is the type of business model that has made Twitter a major a player amongst the big social media outlets. It gives someone a big voice with little content in comparison of the other major 4 social media platforms (Tik Tok, FaceBook, Instagram and SnapChat).
Having a venue/platform like Twitter makes it easy for someone to fire off and take shots (cheap or not) at someone or something using Twitters business model of short highly charged statements.
